Breeding philosophy

BREEDING

Our breeding philosophy is reflected in the kennel prefix. We always aim for the moon and even when we miss, we land among the stars. An Impeccable puli should have a pleasant character and be of an excellent type. Planning for a litter is a lengthy process and it is only when we feel we have the time and room  for a promising offspring that we have a litter.

Puppy plans can be viewed under tab 'Puppies'.

Before breeding, our Pulis are health tested (hips, eyes, patella - results can be found in

SKK's open register https://hundar.skk.se/hunddata/Hund_sok.aspx) - as well as DM tested.

Given the chance, we do MH (Mentality test) or BPH (Behaviour & Personality Assessment test) which are the Swedish Kennel Club's official character tests. Results are available in

SKK's open register.

Whenever the opportunity arises we like to test our Pulis' animal interest, herding instincts

and abilities. A puli from us must function in today's society without losing original breed features - to us, it is important that the puli keep at least one paw in the breed's rich, colourful history. The Puli originates in Hungary where they have been herding and guarding livestock for many thousands years. We also attend dog shows, a nice pastime as well as valuable guidance in our breeding and good help in staying clear off kennel blindness. We appreciate, value and respect competent judging according to the breed standard.
